I've been an Excel power user for many years, mostly focused on data mining and dashboard reporting. I'm no stranger to pivot tables, Team Foundation Server integration, and PowerPivot to link data sources together. Using Excel for this type of work means charts, let's face it, people prefer to see data expressed as charts instead of in tabular form.
Even with all of my many years of experience I found myself learning and taking notes just 10 pages in, and that continued throughout the entire book. This book is the ultimate reference for Excel charting, covering every aspect you would ever need to know.
What I liked most about this book was the focus on Excel 2013, as the title indicates. Having used charts in Excel since the 1990s, I was always doing things in the way I first learned them. With the help of this book I was able to learn the quicker and more efficient ways to achieve my goals using the new interface tools in Excel 2013.
If you use Excel, you need to read this book.
