The second book in the series is much more about doing some real world jQuery related work in a test driven manner. I liked the first one better, though I certainly found interesting pieces in this book as well. Especially the Jasmine specs including Jasmine-Fixtures and the mocking parts were interesting.

One thing that I noticed is that there're quite some inconsistencies (css classes and ids) and errors (missing var or this prefixes) in the listings. Some of the earlier code pieces in the book also make JsHint complain a lot (because of not defining all local vars at the top of the functions and/or using multiple var definitions in a function).

A general problem I see with this type of book is that for me it too much felt like a guided tour. I was missing some challenges in the book along the way to apply my new knowledge to some little problems. I think from a didactic perspective there's room for improvement.
