A Gripping, Electrifying, And Suspenseful Tale For Occult Horror & Ghost Fiction Fans!
Overview: When a ghost-hunter style television show decides to film an investigation at Barrington Prison, it’s up to afterlife detectives Snow and Cadence to make sure the ghosts behave and follow the rules so as not to reveal themselves to the living. But when the child ghost of a spoiled southern belle acts up, and the ghost hunters reveal a newer, more sophisticated piece of technology, the protective veil protecting both realms may shatter.

After reading “Waking Up Dead” and “Dead Vessel”, Books 1 and 2 in Amanda Fasciano’s ghostly Life After Series, I was more than eager to sit back and enjoy Book 3, “The Dead Show”. Fasciano’s unique and creative occult fiction series puts together a dedicated team of ghost hunters with afterlife detectives who are diligently working on preventing the living and the dead from contacting each other in order to keep both worlds separate and intact. Wherein “Waking Up Dead” and “Dead Vessel” spend much time introducing the main characters, exploring what life is like on the other side, and setting up main protagonist, Cadence, in her afterlife digs, “The Dead Show” provides an opportunity for readers to experience two separate in-depth ghost investigations—or rather “ghost hunts”—from the perspectives of both sides (living and dead) who must work together to solve two seemingly unrelated cases. The first case, that of a little girl badgered by an invisible playmate, uncovers the sorrowful history of slaves living on Southern plantations suffering the outrageous abuse and entitlement of their owners. In the second case, the author adds much danger and excitement to this read with a TV production company that come in to film S.P.I.’s local investigation of Barrington Prison—An infamous and dangerous locale that has a bad reputation on both sides of life because of its dark past and paranormal experiences. In “The Dead Show”, Author Fasciano intriguingly foreshadows her next installment of the Life After Series (Book 4—TBA) with new clues about an insidious plot for the dead to possess the living.

“The Dead Show” provides a gripping, electrifying, and suspenseful read with never a dull moment for Occult Horror and Ghost Fiction fans. Author Fasciano’s writing flows naturally, her research on the setup of ghost hunting teams and procedures is well researched and her characters fit the bill, and her story is both imaginative and fascinating.

I highly recommend this novel be read in sequence as part of the series since it will help readers better understand the relationships between the characters and the overall theme of this story. “The Dead Show” is appropriate for ages 15 and up.

Get ready for a thrilling episode in The Dead Show, the third book of The Life After series by Amanda Fasciano. Barrington Prison becomes the eerie backdrop as ghost hunters film a reality show within its haunted walls. Snow and Cadence, the supernatural duo responsible for ensuring the ghosts follow the rules, must navigate the chaos and keep the spirits in check.

Meanwhile, a spoiled ghost, embodying the essence of a young southern belle, starts tormenting an unsuspecting family. As both the living and the dead teams embark on their separate missions, Cadence and Snow can't help but question whether these events are mere coincidences or part of a more sinister plan.

Little do they know, the ghost hunters have come equipped with more than just EMF meters and night vision cameras. A new experimental piece of equipment poses a threat that could potentially jeopardize everything, that is, if the restless souls of Barrington Prison don't reach them first.

Amanda Fasciano weaves a suspenseful narrative, expertly blending the supernatural with elements of mystery and danger. The tension escalates as the stakes rise, keeping readers on the edge of their seats, eager to unravel the mysteries surrounding the ghostly occurrences within the prison walls.

The Dead Show offers an exciting installment in The Life After series, where the realms of the living and the dead collide in an intricate dance of secrets and shadows. With its captivating storyline and well-drawn characters, this book promises a gripping read for fans of paranormal fiction and supernatural thrillers. Prepare for a suspenseful journey where danger lurks in the shadows and the line between the living and the dead blurs with every turn of the page.

This is the third book about Cadence and Snow. Cade is after roughly 5 weeks back on her feet (quite literally since they were pretty much burned off during the last book), and the next big case is just around the corner. A ghost hunter TV show wants to film in one of the worst haunted places, an abandoned prison, which saw riots and many deaths by hanging. Aiden joins as the local expert, but everyone except for the TV people know that this is a horrible idea.
Lauren, Derrik, and Sam (who is now a guardian for Lauren) have a second case and try to free a family from the tyranny of a spoiled little ghost girl from the past.
Let's say that both cases don't do as smoothly as expected, and in the end, everyone meets back in the hospital, wondering, if there was a bigger scheme to split up the teams, especially, since the mysterious "Wolf" is involved again.
And we, as the readers, learn a bit more about him and his contact on the other side... I did not see that coming! I still had my suspicions about Croft, but he genuinely seems to be a good guy (or so I assume at this point).
This book had a lot of action and woke quite some frustration and anger towards those stupid TV people in me ;) The constant switch between the two cases made sense, but personally, I didn't like the mini cliffhangers in every chapter and the forced break. But that's probably just me and not really an issue.

The Dead Show is the third book in The Life After Series by Amanda Fasciano. The Dead Show picks up where the last book Dead Vessel left off with Cadence waking from sleeping for five weeks after everything she went through.

The Dead Show is just as riveting as the first two books with not a dull moment to be had. It kept me hanging on page after page. Once I picked up The Dead Show there was no way I could lay it down until I had read the last page.

Cadence and Snow are hired by a group of ghost hunters who have a TV show and want to film a show at Barrington Prison. Barrington Prison was the home of some of the most dangerous criminals.

Some very violent things went on at Barrington Prison when it was still in operation leaving behind a slew of ghosts in its wake.

Meanwhile, the team has been split as they have two cases. Half the team is sent to investigate a little ghost girl who is terrorizing a family.

Cadence, Snow, and the TV crew make it out of the prison alive? Or will the ghosts get them first?

The Dead Show will have you racing to the end as it pulls you into its thralls making the world around you disappear as you enter their world.

If you like TV shows like Ghost Hunters and you like to read then let me suggest that you grab a copy of The Dead Show and enter the world of the dead today!

Two cases this time around for Cade and Snow and their paranormal investigator friends. Concerning as Cade has just been cleared for duty after the incident from the prior book. A little girl who has an imaginary yet real ghost friend and a shuttered prison that has the feel of evil to it. What connects them and why are they targets? How will Cade and Snow keep a tv ghost hunter duo from learning too much? Read on to find out but make sure it’s daylight cause things are about to get spooky!
We’re peeling back the layers of the conspiracy now. And there’s a really shocking surprise as to one of the masterminds behind it! Creepy, spooky, full of mystery and secrets this series gets better with every installment! Can’t wait for the next one!.

I'm really enjoying this series. I didn't trust the ghost hunters at all. Little creepy. I do hope there is more to come. 5*.

Surviving the Filming . . .

Cadence and Snow are going to be filming a reality ghost hunter show in a notorious abandoned prison known for its extreme violence and hosting of the most dangerous offenders. With the atrocities that went on there in Barrington Prison, very many ghosts were left behind. Cadence and Snow don’t realize that these ghost hunters have secret experimental equipment this time that may reveal more than is acceptable as they are tasked with making sure the ghosts follow the rules to keep the living and the dead apart. Will the exposure put everyone in deadly danger? Will they all get out alive (uh, I mean the ones that are supposed to be alive)? Lots of action and suspense is unleashed, so don’t miss this one!

Ruger is the fourth book in the Savage Kings MC-Virginia series. You have to love a group of brothers who are named after guns. Ruger, being the youngest, has had the most difficult time growing up, and sadly, his self-esteem suffered. This is Ruger's POV from Bear's story and has some surprising twists. The drama is real, as the action from the last book hits us again in this storyline. With a romance story that is witty, dramatic, and realistic, Ruger is a page-turner. Despite the familiar storyline, the added perspective makes this an entertaining and engaging story.

This is book 3 of The Life After Series. I love this book because there are so many characters that sometimes you wonder if they are alive or all dead. This book is just like the others; I could not put it down. The story follows from the previous books and brings them to life in the afterlife. Now they have to make sure that the ghost investigators don't do something stupid and cause many issues. But they do and shit hits the fan. I love it and hope there is more to come.

Book 3, it helps to read the previous books to know the characters' backstories and who is a ghost and who is alive. Ironically, Cadence and Snow need to keep the ghosts at their best behaviour during the filming of a paranormal TV show.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this engaging, entertaining and unputdownable story! The unlife of the dead is further explored in this story. Well written, fast paced, with lots of angst, drama and danger. Told from dual POV reveals intimately their thoughts, feelings and emotions as they explore and solve ghosts problems and help them pass over.

Cadence and Snow just keep gettin' in deeper and deeper. The angst is killing me and I'm not ready to be a part of this group quite yet! The prison creeped me out, I could do without spending a lot of time there. Start this series, you'll be glad you did.
