Easy fast read! Generally some pretty logical suggestions for better digestion. However I felt this book was light on scientific study references to some of the medical/science based insights it was giving.
Lovely approach, easy to read for non-scientists like me. It explains very well all the digestion processes without going too much into tehnical details. It has a holistic view above the while process of nutrition.
This book is a fast read and focuses more on looking at how you eat in a more holistic way. It does discuss basic principles of food combining but also more mindfulness and inquiry to how you eat your food: do you hurry, do you chew properly, the amount?. All of these types of inquiry into how you view and consume food play a vital role into how you digest it (properly).
Easy read and quite interesting. It added to my knowledge of the human digestive system; I will probably be more conscious of how I eat and take a little more care not to overload my system by eating big meals (which will serve me better as I get older anyway). As far as the food combining aspect goes, it sets forth the principles clearly but not in an unforgiving and rigid manner, so you don't have to feel like you're a complete failure if you do mix protein and starch in one meal.
Interesting, but I dont think I was the targeted audience for this book. It was aimed at people who have severe digestion problems and I was more interested in learning how different nutrients work together.
Easy to read. I browsed through it in one sitting. Many good suggestions. I felt like it gets too complicated, or maybe I just don't want to focus on combining of foods that much, but I will be more conscious of making eating more routine.
In all fairness I skimmed through this book in one setting. I learned a lot and it all makes a ton of sense.... however, I didn't make any changes to the way we eat.
Boy, have I been doing a lot of things wrong to my body! Whew! I've got some changes to make! This enlightened me---only 108 pages, but somewhat difficult to "digest" it all in one sitting. Lol!\
Second reading finished 4-16-17. Good to look at again!
