Our body language sometimes speaks louder than words. Authors Geoff Ribbens and Richard Thompson show managers how to read these silent signals to give their direct reports effective and successful appraisals. The highly motivational 'in a week' structure of the book provides seven straightforward chapters explaining the key points of body language. At the end of the book there are questions to ensure readers have taken it all in.
the book lacked a bit of cohesion in that the chapters jumped around to various topics with some chapters more 4 stars, than 3, being interesting insightful and rewarding. some chapters, though, dipped quite a bit and the slight disjointedness of them all together made it more of a 3 star book. for a short quick read it is worth checking out and would lead you on to read more in this field.
