This book was definitely not worth the price. The text is unclear and too academic. Methods are poorly described and very difficult to implement from this text. Spend the extra $20 and get the Osher and Fedkiw book.

Really good introduction to Level Set methods and Fast Marching, complete with derivations and numerical examples / problems.
