To begin thanks to Nina Jon for sending me the book as I won it in the goodreads first reads. Although the cover of the book isn't as appealing don't let that put you off, personally i think they should change the covers to something more modern but o well.
This is the third book in the series so I still have the first two books to read which I will be doing soon. Normally I'm more of a romance/paranormal and sometimes horror reading kind of girl but this book was a nice surprise an i will start reading some more mystery/detection books i think. This is my first book from the author Nina Jon and I found her writing style to be easy to understand and flows beautifully. The book was overall a easy detective novel that will keep you guessing but not enough to turn your brain to mush. So if your looking for a summer read other then romance this falls into that category.
What I loved was the beginning of the book doesn't take forever setting the scene or anything it's takes a couple of pages to introduce the scene and characters. It has some very funny scenes and I love the character johnny and all the little jobs he does to earn enough money to please his girlfriend. Also the cases that Jane takes has some interesting developments along the way.
So a definite read I finished this in a couple of hours so it's nothing to hard to get through with only 256 pages.

I usually like my detective books a bit grittier than this, but I did like this book. The dialogue was believable and not superfluous and the mysteries were genuinely that. I found the extremely short chapters a bit strange, but overall an enjoyable read. I got this book through Goodreads First Reads.
I'm rereading books and series I love and this is one of them. This is the third of this series. It's another collection of vignettes, which is this series' trademark. Again – very well written, delightful likeable characters and stories. Tears and laughter.
I received this book as part of the Goodreads giveaways and it was an absolute pleasure reading it. The characters are very endearing and I cannot wait to read the next books!
