This was a lovely read. It was easy-going and incredibly sweet - perfect when you're looking for something lighthearted and cute. I bought it on a whim and read it in one sitting, and was left with a huge smile on my face. Although the ending was satisfying and sweet, an epilogue would have been nice to really round off the story. I'm kind of hoping for a sequel as I'd love to see what happens next for Greg and Justin, but since this was written over a year ago, I highly doubt we'll get one.

I was in the mood for just a sweet uncomplicated story. Greg and Justin were perfect. Greg was a bit stuffy at first but his best friend has the answer. An added bonus was a bit of marine biology on the side.

Reviewed by Stacey Jo: Greg Waterman is a serious grad student holed up in his lab at Hawaii Pacific University. His best friend, Annalise, convinces him to grudgingly set his research aside to go to Hula's, a popular local gay bar to celebrate spring break. He figures he'll have a couple of beers and head out early. That's until he meets Justin Covelli, who is there with his friends from New York. They click instantly and spend a brief bit of time together but decide to meet up again the next day. Not to worry, this is not an insta-love story.

Greg is only there for a week, so by virtue of this, their relationship does have to progress somewhat quickly but sex is not in the picture early on. They story line, and their budding relationship, is very well developed. You can really feel these two falling for each other. And they are genuinely good guys who really do deserve a good and loving relationship. I was definitely rooting for them the whole time. The author seems to know her stuff about the various islands of Hawaii because Greg takes Justin all over the islands. The sight seeing isn't overdone and is used in such a way as to be a tool to help them/watch them fall for each other.

Of course this has a nice HEA. And the ending is very believable. At this point in their relationship it's almost between a happily-for-now and happily-ever-after. We know how things are going to turn out but I would so love to see more of these two. What happens when the story comes around full circle? How are things going to work out? I would dearly love to see a sequel here. I really didn't want this one to end and almost read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. It's a fantastically sweet story without making your teeth hurt. Most definitely one for my favorites shelf.

This was such a summer read and with the weather getting warmer over here it somehow fit the bill. It’s a romantic story about Greg and Justin, who meet at a party and spend a week together.

Justin came from New York for a spring-break and to check out a graduate program on Hawaii. Greg is a workaholic who’s past the partying stage and really just wants some ‘hot’ company. The two of them click right away and from there it’s like a dream come true.

Once Upon a Spring Break doesn’t have any type of conflict and while relaxing it didn’t especially catch my attention. Everything seemed just too easy and predictable while the connection between the characters ended up being shown mostly through their physical interaction. Yeah, I mean sex.

What had me stumbling the most and pushing me away from the actual story was the writing style. I’m fresh from extensive edits of my own book and I kept seeing all the things this book could have done without. Every action, no matter how inconsequential, was mentioned and described; the way they cut the bread, turned the knob or how many times they moved in bed. It brought nothing to the story and dulled the special moments between the guys. A lot of the situations seemed to be leading somewhere when they happened, but once they were over, I was left wondering why they had been mention at all.

I still think this is a pretty cute and romantic story, for those who just need something easy. But those of you who need their books a bit tighter and the plot richer might end up disappointed.

Once Upon a Spring Break is a sweet and very sexy love story that will warm your heart and keep a smile on your face. I loved both of the heroes and thought they were made to be together. Both are likeable, strong men who have goals and dreams they are working for in their lives. Neither of them are looking to fall in love, but when they meet, sparks fly and they are undeniably drawn to each other. I really enjoyed watching their relationship progress from strangers to lovers. It was apparent that not only do they have a deep attraction to one another; they truly liked and respected each other too.

This is a fast-paced, lovely story that was a perfect romantic read for my dreary day. I loved the very uplifting, hopeful ending, and I can easily see Justin and Greg’s life together being filled with a lot of adventure and happiness. I’m looking forward to reading more from Ms. Snyder and highly recommend this book if you are in the mood for a sweet and romantic read.

Well written, fast-paced novella. Definitely in the feel-good, comfort reading category. Loveable, believable characters, including minor characters, snappy dialogue, plus the exotic setting just adds up to the charm of the story. Despite the novella format and the overall light-heartedness and gentle humor in the story and atmosphere, important and profound questions are raised, for two guys who have just entered adulthood but are sensitive, honest and mature enough to recognize that something important and life-changing is going on, no matter how casual their first encounter was. I wish the writer had delved a little more in the physical description of the two guys, but their characterizations and 'voices' are well drawn and captivating, and that more than makes up for it.

Now this was truly amazingly developed romantic story. The storyline was easy and warm. And the romance between Justin Covelli and Greg Waterman was slow and realistic. I liked it all and wouldn't mind reading more about this couple. Hope we will see more from them!

An adorable bittersweet romantic read about two individuals who meet and fall in love over spring break. I would love to read more about Justin and Greg relationship maybe 5-10 years from now but I wouldn't mind if we got to revisit them on that planned summer break.
