This book seems to suffer from having too many authors as there appears to be a different quality of writing in different parts. The introductory chapters are explained well. Things seems to get murkier as one reads further into the code chapters. I used this as an introductory book to VB and I followed it fine through the basic chapters that teach about the VB language as well as how to use the tool. Things seemed to speed up quite a bit when looking at OOP and VB, and then into the later advanced chapters, where it seems to gloss over things quickly with very few examples. It felt like the book was trying to cover too much, and ended up wasting space with poorly covered advanced topics that could have been given over to improve the middle API sections.
