As each letter is introduced it has something positive to say to the reader/writer. The animals that accompany each letter are more on the preschool cute side. I love that the letters and the numbers that are to be traced are very large. It gives the parent the ability to used their finger and show the child how to trace the letter. The child can trace the letter or number with their finger before ever picking up a crayon or pencil to trace it. This is not as possible with smaller letter and number tracing books.
After the child has traced their letters and numbers the book goes into shapes. I was shocked AND pleased to see that once again they pushed the boundaries. They didn’t stick to just a square, circle and triangle. They included an rhombus, trapezoid, pentagon, hexagon, and an octagon. There is a certificate for your child. All of the motivational sayings that accompanied the letters are on one page to remind you to encourage your child. I love their books because they seem to be fun, creative and my favorite this is they don’t try to dumb down the learning.
