At only ten US dollars for the Kindle edition, Paul Browning's Cisco CCNP Route Simplified is an excellent way to get a lot of information on a budget. Unfortunately, being a budget book does leave it with a few problems.

The book is incredibly through, but very bland. Browning makes no attempt to opinion, humor, or other flare to the read, thus leaving it a chore. On top of that, the Kindle version is has issues like the table of contents being minimal and at the end of the book. This causes problems with navigation and finding a past location.

The Kindle version also struggles in trying to fit many diagrams into a small space and getting Cisco IOS outputs to appear like they do over a telnet connection. This leads to many font changes mid-paragraph.

Still, even with these flaws, their is a wealth of information at a price to keep the reader wealthy.
