A solid, well-written introduction to Power Point that goes from how to start the program and create your first slide to such advanced topics as preparing your presentations for live broadcasts over the web. The instructions do suffer, however, from the occassional tendency to explain what you are doing or why you are doing it after you are told to do it. The explanations should come first to lessen some confusion the reader/student might feel. Also, another problem common to such texts, is the reliance on clip-art images that may not be included with the reader's installation of Power Point. It would be a great help if the authors had included the specific images they used in the student files. Perhaps the biggest drawback, however was towards the end of the book when they started discussing the more advanced features that require specialized server software to be able to fully work through the examples. This is software that most people don't have access to, so the inclusion of these topics, while adding to the "completeness" of the material covered, seemed rather unnecessary for the majority of users.
