The discussion of the history of the Civil Code of the Philippines and the preliminary title was made excellently. However, some parts resembled the codals because of the lack of comments and discussion from the author. Overall, this is a good book to start with when learning about Persons and Family Relations. For more detailed information, other authors are worth checking out.
