I found this book when I was searching for books about flowers for my 4 year old. We read it together and it was a great conversation starter. The fictional story of Lindsey and her friend Julia created interest and helped keep her attention, while the scientific facts and pictures triggered learning moments and questions. The story was simple enough that my daughter was able to accurately predict what would happen next in terms of the flower. The back of the book includes instructions for growing your own bulbs in pots, which was something my daughter was asking to do by the time we finished the story. It's a cute story and definitely served the purpose I had intended it to. I'm definitely putting it on my list of books for potential future use.
