Sometimes important things come in the smallest of packages. This book is one of those “things” for sure.

Acquired this book many years ago and for whatever reason did not read it. My HUGE mistake! This is a great motivational story about not succumbing to your personal adversities be they financial, physical and/or mental. It starts out about telling the story of a career soldier who loses his right arm in battle back when they used shields, swords and spears. It is an amazing story and is based upon truth. The book is so much more than just this story of Lefthanded Soldiers it is about how the author overcame his own obstacles which were many and varied and moved on to become very successful in his many endeavors throughout his life. The story of his running a track meet in the 440 brought tears to my eyes as I read it. He not only tells HIS story, he tells the reader how to not let disabilities and setbacks set you back and instead USE them to advance your own story.

Would I read it again? Absolutely
Would I give it as a gift? Absolutely, already have
Who Should Read it? WOW, I would say everyone but especially the youngest in our society

Love this book, love the stories but more importantly as a former

The title may not attract many, but the inspiration inside should. I initially thought it was going to be a book about a remarkable group of soldiers who'd already suffered injury during war and went back as a special force. Truly this book is for anyone who's been knocked down, physically, emotionally, spiritually or mentally. Gary Eby has a way of weaving together that which was lost with possiblity and the true heart of a person. I would recommend the book to any one, but if you know someone who's taken a blow, so-to-speak, and is finding it difficult to get back up, this is a wonderful book to inspire them back into life.

Thank you, Gary Eby!
