The author of The Twelve Conditions of a Miracle brings a fresh and radical interpretation to Christ's thirty-two parables, revealing within them a practical blueprint for self-development.
The Hidden Parables is a complete retranslation of the parables used by Jesus of Nazareth to illustrate critical lessons about the nature of reality. Its simple, to-the-point analysis illuminates cosmological concepts, rendering them surprisingly accessible and practical, and highlights the actual techniques for self-development found in the words of Christ.
In The Hidden Parables, the thirty-two enigmatic parables spoken by Christ are meticulously retranslated retaining the expressiveness of the original Greek and giving the reader a literal understanding of the words of Christ. Michael's reconsideration unveils a hidden layer of meaning, which shows that the parables are not a random collection of stories, but a unified system of knowledge.
This integrated system of knowledge describes how to use the spiritual law of thought forms-or controlled intentions--to create more beneficial, more miraculous circumstances in our personal lives. The information it presents is clear and very useful. Moreover, this system bears an uncanny symmetry with many of today's leading-edge ideas from quantum physics. In The Hidden Parables, those aspects of Christ's words that are sometimes considered confounding are freshly revealed for their penetrating insights about human existence and the hands-on methodology the insights provide for greater self-understanding and for leading a more fulfilling life.
Dr. Todd Michael does an amazing job of breaking-down Christ Yeshua's 33 parables, by providing the reader with 3 different points of view:
° The Biblical
° The Spiritual
° The Metaphysical
Since I wanted to be a Roman Catholic priest 57 years ago and was denied because I came from a broken home in 1965, Dr. Michael's metaphysical outlooks strongly resonate in me.
The "lost" Book of Tomas was thrown out of the Bible in 325 A.D. at the Council of Nicaea by the Emperor Constantine and greedy Catholic Bishops, because in it Christ Yeshua personally empowered humankind to embrace "The Kingdom of God within", and eliminated the need for control-minded fear and guilt proselytizing intermediaries, that wanted to extract a pound of flesh from their congregations.
Dr. Michael's perspective mirrors that of the Book of Tomas ~ that we are "made in His image and likeness of eternal, powerful and joyful unconditional Love.
I strongly recommend The Hidden Parables to all true open-minded believers.
At first it had my attention, even though I disagree with the author's conviction the many world's theory is undisputable. Later on, the explanations just didn't seem to make much sense. The assertion that Jesus was the son who left his home to live the wild life in the parable of the prodigal son, left me feeling uncomfortable; and the reasoning of that assertion just seemed to make absolutely no sense. After that, I lost interest. The last two chapters, I admit, I rushed through with very little hope to gleen anything of usefulness or interest. Someone may find the author's theories and translations profound, but I do not share that view.
