This book is about overcoming fear, and realizing that different people have different fears. When Alex's mother peeks under his bed to reassure him that everything is okay, she gets a scare herself. Instead of a big bad monster, his mother discovers a mouse hiding under Alex's bed.

A Monster Under Alex’s Bed
1. Brief Summary:
A little boy is scared that a monster lives under his bed, because he hears things all night. He had his mother come into his room to investigate, but his mother was the one who was ultimately scared. She saw a mouse under his bed and gathered all the furniture to stand on, meanwhile the little boy wanted to pet the mouse. He ended up sleeping with his mother that night in her bed, which he never got to do, because his mother was scared of the mouse.
