Possibly one of the worst heat transfer books written. While it's been approximately 35 years since I've read it, my notes on one of the first few pages:
- pointing to Kreith: "major a-hole"
- pointing to Cliff Robichaud (sponsoring editor): "he didn't do a very good job"
- in PREFACE - first line "In preparing a fourth edition, we have attempted to write a book that is useful..." my comment: "too bad you didn't succeed"

Enough said

I read this book for my Gas Dynamics & Heat Transfer class. I think it did well in terms of describing the different modes of heat transfer but it could’ve had a lot more examples in the book. ‘Learn by Doing’ you know?!
