Be a Happier Parent with NLP: A Teach Yourself Guide

Rate this book
Be A Happier Parent with NLP gives you the skills you need to raise a confident, secure child in a confident and secure manner. The book uses the tried, trusted and proven techniques of neuro-linguistic programming to help tackle areas in which you may feel you lack confidence as a parent, while at the same time giving you the skills to help your child be happy, fulfilled and confident him- or herself. You'll find yourself feeling less guilty, more in control, and communicating better with your child--at the same time be able to support your child in difficult situations and help him or her grow into a well-rounded adult.

I work with children, teens and their parents to help them shift stuck states like anxiety, low self-belief, negative thought patterns and anything that gets between them and what they want from life.

I'd love parents to read my books to help them become happier, more confident parents. It's so easy to keep doing what you have always done whilst hoping that the results you get will be different next time. When you change, your results change and sometimes that change can be something so minor. Just by looking at something differently, you get that 'aha moment' that changes everything and everyone around you.

'Understanding children and teens - a practical guide for parents, teachers and coaches' is full of exercises, activities and examples of how to use NLP (neuro linguistic programming), EFT (emotional freedom technique) and Art Therapy with children and teens to gain a deeper insight into their challenges and help them heal.

'Empower your kids! A coaching guide for parents' is due out end of March and covers general parenting support in Part 1 and help with anger, anxiety, fear, self-esteem, learning, sleep, friendship etc in part 2.

Both books are published by Free Association Books.

My other books are mostly published by Hodder Education and MX Publishing. FREE copies available for review. Get in touch

I received this book for free via GoodReads First Reads giveaways.

This is a book to dip into rather than read from cover to cover. It gives a different perspective on parenting, and tips on how to look at how you think as a parent. I much prefer this book to some of the very prescriptive parenting books out there (e.g. they MUST have a nap at this exact time, etc)

Received through Goodreads First Reads. Lovely book on parenting that helps you to be a better parent by understanding your child's way of thinking. Not something to read in one go, better to dip in and out of and refer back to when needed.

I found this book to be a great way of getting a better understanding of how my child thinks and how to build a better relationship as a mother. very informative without being patronising.
