This book was a lifesaver! I've had many dogs in the past and raised them the way I thought they should be raised. They all turned out to be crazy hyper dogs. When my boyfriend and I decided to get a new puppy a few years ago I decided to buy a book and follow the rules this time. It worked! I have an awesome dog! I'm sure some of it has to do with the breed, but I'd like to think most of it has to do with the way I raised him.
