In the late 19th Century the Islands of Samoa was inhabited by American, French, German and English colonists. Their 50 year interaction with the natural inhabitants of the Island let to cross culture practices of a people who still held on to their traditional Island values. The story of Laulii, the first native born Samoan woman to travel to, become educated in and a permanent resident of the America's recites stories of her childhood and of the Samoan peoples.
