A great primer on the sport of Jiu-Jitsu. It has the right amount of text and pictures to illustrate movements. It explains the differences between BJJ and Classical, basic positioning, and techniques as well as plenty of self-defense move sequences, submission techniques, and practice strategies.
I also watch videos, and practice at the dojo, but the text, photo, and using my imagination helps me absorb the concepts in a more comprehensive way. This book is a great companion for anyone just starting out or thinking about starting training.
