Eddie's trying to head south but Mike just keeps driving him north. He's now cornered in Coldwater, Alaska with no girl, no money and nowhere to go. Things are looking bad until he gets to talking with Pete Tall Mountain, who tells him how his father's priceless soapstone carving has been stolen. Eddie reckons that if it's been stolen once then it can be stolen again. The problem is, it's been stolen by Jim Savage and Savage owns the town. Stealing from him is a risky proposition and, if he's going to get away with it, it's going to have to be a better plan than a simple smash and grab. Then Eddie has an idea. It might not be great idea but Mike is closing in fast and time is running out. Could this be Eddie's last roll of the dice? A Million Miles from Mexico is the sequel to Lucky Eddie and the fourth instalment of the Adventures of Eddie Allcorn from the writer of One to the Heart, One to the Head and Grab it by the Throat Kid.
