That was bizarre and wonderful. It reminds me of a scifi version of Alice in wonderland cross Peter pan. Talking birds, cat pirates that are more like American gangsters and a wonderful wizard. Really enjoyed reading this - a little confusing at times but so much fun!

It was a bit all over the place

This is the first of two Zagwitz stories, suitable for junior readers. It's an adventure story set in the World of Creativity with the hero Zagwitz a potty inventor, his helpers to mention a few -Flewy, Awoo, Eggbert, Lucy & William- and a host of baddies, my favourite being the mogster pirates.
There are illustrations throughout the book which help young readers to picture the characters.
It is funny, well written and full of imagination.
