This short book serves as a decent early read for anyone new to the field of fakes and forgeries. At only about 100 pages, it briefly touches on a variety of fraudulent objects and discusses the various methods used for determining authenticity. It has a glossary, which is always a nice element for any book. It also has a useful "Further Reading" section.

This is a short, technical overview on how forgeries are detected using forensic techniques. While the topic is a bit heavy on technical details, it is explained in a way that is easy to understand.
