This book was fun to work through and gave one a good outlook on the basic map design principles. The visual aids were very helpful, although somewhat dated now. There were a few chapters at the start of the book that showed examples for scatter-plot maps and cartograms that were incorrectly identified. I am not sure how that mistake made it to press. There are also some examples that have quickly become outdated. It would be my preference to make examples out of data that is not easily skewed after a few years.
