Ten years ago Ash and Jadyn were madly in love. What should have been a beautiful time of carefree splendor was instead a fight for their lives. The book begins with a scene between Jadyn and Ash that shows not only the heat and passion in their relationship but also the love between them. Unfortunately, their relationship seems doomed like many other star crossed lovers as they come from rival packs. In Jadyn, Trina Lee manages what many authors find so difficult.
Jadyn is a strong powerful hero, but he consistently shows his sensitive side throughout the story, without appearing weak. Violence forced Jadyn from Ash, but when he found her again, he is obviously stricken. The character's conflicting emotions are obvious in their powerful and emotional reunion. They're forced in the end to either accept their brief reunion as the miracle it was, and to decide if they're going to walk away from each other again, or if they're strong enough to attempt a true reunion. Their choice won't disappoint you.

ITS STAYING WITH ME :-D
Well... whilst I was reading I was totally lost in the great writing and the sides amount of depth, emotion, world building and extreme belief I had in Jadyn and Ash and their story.
I cried a lot!!! like more time crying than not crying a lot. I'm not sure if its just me, but the whole years wasted apart when their love is so epic thing just really strikes me as so bloody sad. I keep catching myself thinking back on it, like, 'core, that was beautifully agonizing'.
A huge fan of the Alexa O'Brien huntress series, and impatiently awaiting Whisper to a Scream and Freak Show, I was eager to get my hands on more of Trina's writing and I was so pleased!! The whole feel of the book is totally different from the gritty and edgy style of Alexa's books and refreshingly so. Trina is by no means a one trick pony.

“If Only for Tonight” is a short story lacking depth. There are no twists and turns, it’s not hard to guess how the book will end after reading the first few pages. Having said that, if more details would have been added it would have taken away from the story instead of add to it.
Overall the story is good, not great. The in-depth details lie in the sexual details not story originality. I’m not sorry I read the book, it was a cute little story, but I’m not putting it on my reread shelf.

Entertaining for what it was. A short book of a werewolf theme.
