About the author

A California native, Tanya DeFreitas is an author, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker. She has a passion for working with and helping women. Tanya has served as a Job Coach and Employment Specialist and has a heart for women transitioning from welfare to work.

She is a certified Domestic Violence Counselor and advocate for the fight against sex trafficking. She has served on the Board of Directors and volunteered for several nonprofits organization. Tanya was a recipient of the Women’s Opportunity Award at the local and regional level from Soroptimist International. A former Soroptimist, Tanya’s community involvement landed her the award as Woman of the Year by the Antelope Valley Ad Hoc Committee on Education.

Tanya is the author of Live Your Dream Now, an inspirational guide to inspire others to make their dream their reality. She is the Co-Founder of Love Wins marriage ministry. Tanya and her husband, Rafael, are advocates of strong marriage and they are parents of three amazing children.
