A bit disappointing, has all the elements (illustrations, DVDs) that make for a good language learning experience but it doesn't quite come together. Some elements seem to be missing from the DVD, some are in the wrong order and generally it is clunky.
I may have done better had I put in a little more effort but generally it was discouraging. Too complicated, the sounds often don't sound like the western characters (why use the wrong ones?), pictograms look nothing like what they are supposed to be (e.g. sun looks like a filing cabinet) and switches too soon to using pictograms instead of the familiar western characters.
Also the incidental musak is terrible.
