This series just keeps getting better and better
and I am so happy to be part of the ARC team
few notes before tackling the review
1- this is not a standalone. you have to read the previous books in the series to understand what is happening and the characters mentioned
2- if you are a religious person like me, this series and this book in particular would be a BIG TRIGGER. for me I just put my belief aside, and pretend that these characters are not related to anything I know because the story is that good
3- PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNERING. this is a dark dark romance with themes that may not be suitable for some
having said that, I think this book shows how much Hunt has matured in terms of story-line plotting, character building, and understanding of mythology
it is well constructed and gripping. the story is fast paced and a page turner. I couldn't put it down once I started
Becca, oh my heart, how can a woman who faced all this trauma still finds the courage and perseverance to carry on?? yes she did many questionable things but they were the only way to deal with what she went through
and Aedin, why is he called The Dark Prince of Sin again? he was the perfect grey love interest. Accepting, loving, unjudgemental, supporting. He had his teeny tiny moments but the care he gave to Becca was worth it
as with the rest of the series, the story fluxuates between the ancient past - what they were in previous lives - and the present connecting both worlds in stroke of genious writing
as a dark paranormal romance this was perfect
can't wait for Wrath
I've been waiting for this asshole's book for ever
but after the reveal in this book, I feel we are in for tear jerker
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
