This book is an extremely easy read, the sentences are clear and to the point and the level of detail is just enough to get a good idea of how to start planting your own food. There is an excellent list of how to arrange your garden, as well as to what plants to combine to optimise growing your food. The different lists of when and where to plant are extremely convenient, although I may have preferred a table where all was visible in one go. The first half of the book wishes to convince readers that sustainable growing means learning from past practices. I must admit that I was already convinced before I started reading this book, but if I had not been, I think that it would have taken a few more studies supporting the claims laid out in the first chapters. The other only downside of the book is that it does not consider the cost of growing your own food, at least at the start. This may be unattainable for any: to not only source a plot, but also to get all the tools and seeds needed. In any case, the guide is a very good introduction for beginners to start planting at any time of the year, especially for those who already have a garden or plot and a set of tools but wish to change to a more sustainable practice. The guide clearly highlights that the fruits and vegetables obtained with this sustainable method will be more nutritious and flavoursome. This guide can definitely help those who do not know to start this journey towards a more environment-friendly method.

The author does not seem to know the difference between farming and gardening. Also I very much dislike climate change rants. Don't buy this you can learn more and be better informed with actual facts and studies by watching a video by Gabe Brown or Ray Achuleta just to name 2. Good luck in your research but I suggest don't bother with this.
