Frontera: Lektüre
Amina es una chica marroquí de catorce años que lleva viviendo en España casi toda su vida. Su familia se trasladó cuando ella era todavía una niña. Ahora va al colegio y está decidida a ser abogada y escritora. Pero, todos sus sueños se desvanecen cuando sus padres le dicen que tiene que volver a Marruecos para casarse con un hombre de cincuenta años al que ni siquiera conoce.
Amina aborrece esa idea y se va de casa. Pide ayuda a su amiga Estefanía, quien la acoge en el viejo desván de su casa sin el conocimiento de sus padres. Cuando Amina lleva varios días sin ir al colegio y sin pasar por su casa las cosas empiezan a producirse manifestaciones de magrebíes en el pequeño pueblo donde vive. Estas manifestaciones provocan una ola de xenofobia y los disturbios son cada vez más frecuentes.
Al final, con la ayuda de Estefanía y de su profesora de lengua, Lucía Cortázar, Amina vuelve a su casa con la promesa de sus padres de que no la enviarán a Marruecos y de que podrá elegir su propio futuro.

Amina es una joven de origen marroquí que ha sido criada en España. Cuando recibe la noticia de que va a ser enviada a Marruecos para casarse con un hombre mayor, decide marcharse de su casa y refugiarse en el desván de la casa de su compañera Estefanía. Será en ese desván donde se convenza a sí misma que no puede renunciar a todos sus sueños por un matrimonio concertado y luchará, con la ayuda de su compañera y de una profesora, para mostrar a sus padres el valor de la libertad.
No es un libro de temática amorosa, es una muestra de la importancia de los valores de uno mismo y el amor propio.
Una vez más, Jordi Sierra i Fabra logró engancharme a su narrativa.

"Saber que no estamos solos es tan, tan importante." Amina no está sola, tiene su amiga Estefanía quien ayudale a hundir de su casa y un matrimonio forzado.
El libro se trata de fronteras culturales y psíquicas - de la guerra de una chica entre los costumbres y el deseo de estar libre.

Es una novela amena y fácil de leer. La recomendaría a un público adolescente no muy interesado por la lectura.
En mi caso, ha sido uno de esos libros que no dejan demasiada huella en mí.

Jordi Sierra i Fabra conoce muy bien la forma de pensar de las chicas adolescentes. Es una buena lectura para jóvenes. Sobre todo, los chicos deberían leerlo. Pero el final fue bastante decepcionante.

It was a good book, covered interesting and important topics and was a good read for starting to dive into Spanish literature. The ending bothered me though because it was all really wishy washy and rushed.
