The Cricket and the Shepherd Boy: A Christmas Tale
A young shepherd hears a cricket singing at his feet. The cricket speaks to him and foretells that the coming winter will be both special and especially cold. Then he disappears back into the grass.The winter is indeed especially harsh, but on a star-studded night the cricket and the shepherd boy make their way to a manger huddled low between two hills. There they find a mother and father with a child who radiates light and warmth into the world.This innocent and warmhearted nativity tale is intended for parents to read to their children at Christmas time. While the story itself is timeless, this tale is most suitable for children from preschool to grade four or five.

I have so many things wrong with this book.
First I don't like the pictures.
2nd, I don't like the story.
3rd Jesus wasn't born in Winter He was born in the Spring...so this cold cold winter business...is ridiculous.f
I don't care for the writing. I don't know what a cricket has to do with anything? (
I suppose the repetition is suppose to mimic the Crickets "Chirp, Chirp" but it became really annoying.
An Angel shouldn't be doing any healing, that should have been from Jesus himself, or God or his prophets, but not an angel. Not to get deep into doctrine, but it didn't feel right. I guess if the angel had said "by the power of God you are healed." I might not take such offense.
If I could toss this in the trash, I would... complete garbage!
Is it self published...because ... it feels very self published!
