He won the Margaret Edwards Award from the American Library Association in 1997 for his lifetime contribution in writing for teens.
This book is a nice summary of Martin Luther King's actions towards equality. I think this book was alright because it had interesting topics about King, but the diction was simple. I think it could improve on the way it flows from different topics. I felt that sometimes Paulsen was just listing the facts down without any context attached to them, but it was still a good summarized book.
