Visions of Jasmine

Shipwrecked!

Jasmine Kirby was thrilled to be rescued, even if her savior was a scruffy sailor with a hunk's body and a glint in his eye that warned her to watch out for her virtue! Being alone on the open sea with this gorgeous man in a boat called Paradise was deliciously tempting, but was Matthew Rome the right man to star in her dreams of love? When his playful kisses invited her to kick up her heels and live recklessly, she met his flirting challenge with pleasure. But when land finally beckoned, Jasmine wondered if her disarming captain would pursue her past the dock.

Matt longed to share his secrets with the lady he'd chosen as his first mate, but was the price of loving sweet Jasmine an end to his rambling days?

"Visions of Jasmine" is the story of Jasmine and Matt.

When Jasmine is shipwrecked on way to a work trip, she is rescued by the elusive captain aboard The Paradise , Matt, who is as flirty as he is charming.
The attraction is instantaneous, and as Matt drops Jasmine off ashore- they decide to exchange numbers.
Soon they get in touch, and the lust turns physical while they start falling in love. Matt however has many past insecurities which lead him to take dangerous missions. Can Jasmine's love break through his walls?
Average story with loads of old style hanky panky, mild angst and many things happening at once. Everything was going too well, until the end when it wasn't.
Overall, meh. I liked the blurb way more than the book.

My book club had this idea that we’d all randomly select a Loveswept book. It was wild and hilarious to read and talk about romances of the 80s, and this book is definitely a product of its time.
The beautiful Jasmine Kirby is shipwrecked and rescued by “I just need my freedom” and “marriage is a noose” Matthew Forsythe Rome. But it’s ok because her love can change him. And you know what, in the span of 180 pages by her willingness to love him for him (and her upthrusting breasts) she convinces him that he truly can’t live without her.
