False Advertising, Otherwise Good
I review a lot of word search books, and in terms of content, this is one of the better ones. It has 150 puzzles that are themed, and all the words you're supposed to search for have to do with the themes. That sounds like it should be a given, but far too many supposedly themed puzzles in word search books have words or phrases that just don't go with them. The solutions for all the puzzles are included in the back, which, again, should be a given, but it is not. Some books don't include them at all, while some publishers require you to download them from their websites (in exchange for your email, naturally). So, in these aspects, this is a great word search book.
However, the subtitle promises that this is a large print word search book. It is not. The publishers fit two per page, with 20x20 letter grids and 20 words to search for. However, the solutions are worse, as they crammed four onto a page with very small print and used super light green to show where the words are. Certainly not helpful for those who truly need large print or have difficulty distinguishing faint colors. The subtitle also states that it has “puzzles and brain games”, but it only has word searches. So don't let that subtitle make you think that there's anything other than word searches in this book. Lastly, the publisher purports that this book is for adults, seniors, and teens but is certainly better suited for seniors or those north of 50, as many of the themes have to do with events that happened decades ago.
