This volume completes Blayney's edition of the so-called R translations of Alain Chartier's "Le traité de l'Esperance" and "Le Quadrilogue Invectif", and a further translation (U) of the latter work. This is a fine edition, a fitting consummation to Blayney's sustained concern for these texts by this 15-century French poet and political writer. Her work is likely to prove definitive.
