Cop's Night Before Christmas

by Michael D. Harrison, David Miles (Illustrator)

Changing flat tires and rescuing kittens wasn't what one patrol officer had in mind for Christmas Eve. Amid idle chatter and doughnuts, this small-town cop is missing his family and wishing for a little holiday cheer. Nevertheless, he is a patrolman on duty and must bide time until the graveyard shift is over. Unless . . . there is someone willing to take his place. One jolly officer is up for the job. Armed with a helicopter, spotlight, and an up-to-date naughty list, Santa Claus is ready for anything. This time, the phrase "you better watch out" has taken on a completely new meaning.

It breaks my heart to say this; but, the concept of this book is far more brilliant than the end result.

A sweet book for children of police officers.
