LPI Linux Certification in a Nutshell

The Barnes & Noble Review
Many companies are building internal Linux expertise for the first time; certification is especially helpful to them as they staff up. Among certification programs that aren't tied to a single distribution, LPI's program is the deepest and most comprehensive. O'Reilly's LPI Linux Certifications in a Nutshell, Second Edition systematically prepares you for every objective in LPI's latest exams: both Level 1 and Level 2.

With scores of "On the Exam" tips, review questions, hands-on exercises, and four complete sample exams, this book covers everything you need to get ready. The heart of the book, though, is its 900-plus-pages of substantive review content. You'll find reliable, usable information on hardware, architecture, installation, package management, commands, networking, printing, troubleshooting, and a whole lot more. Even if your LPI exam day is far in the future, this book will be an indispensable reference until that day comes. Bill Camarda, from the November 2006 href="http://www.barnesandnoble.com/newslet... The perfect study guide for the LPIC exam. It follows the exam objectives really closely and pretty much guarantees you will take the exam if you follow the examples and learn the essential commands and configuration files.

Did the job, though only read the first half for level 1 and never did level 2 in the end.

Owned it since forever (mostly used it as a reference guide), but finally found the strength to go through it.
