All this came at a cost, and the increases in taxes could not be afforded by all. The poor fought to survive and ‘The 55’ wanted more. Human life was being culled. Those with plenty of credits could buy anything they wanted. Food, water, technology, or even an ability so powerful to decide the outcome they desired in this reality…..or the other.
