Business in Norway

Rate this book
What does working life in a typical Norwegian company look like? Is there a peculiarly Norwegian way of "unnasluntring" (avoiding work)? How can you adapt as an outsider, why is it so important to chat about cabins and leisure time with your colleagues, and what exactly is an "inneklemt day"? Lunch - Business in Norway looks at both the universal aspects of working life - meetings, hierarchy, corporate jargon, and the peculiarly Norwegian, such as the absolute refusal to work on any day stuck between an official holiday and the weekend.

Bursdagsgave fra mine barn. Så norsk som det går an, men på engelsk! Genialt! Dette fungerer som oppvarming til TV-serien skal bivånes i Påska! Drit i egg og nøtter, her blir'e Lunch!

Should have read this a year ago. It’s pretty accurate on the Norwegian way of working and avoiding it.

A nice introduction to the comic strip Lunch for foreigners. As a Norwegian I find they are funnier when not translated, so it’s really better to learn Norwegian first, then read the original strips.
