“I think it’s very amazing that I do horror films when I had this awful childhood. But maybe that’s why I’m good at it.”
Ingrid Pitt is the Queen of Horror. I remember seeing The House that Dripped Blood as a kid and that one made me fall more in love with all things horror. It was also one of the first films I saw that Ingrid Pitt starred in.
This book is a collection of all the films and shows she has been casted in during her career. It also has some theater and special appearances she has made as well. They accompany the list with a brief description of what the show, movie, etc was about and a mini review. Some of those even include snippets from her book titled: Life’s a Scream.
Ingrid Pitt: Queen of Horror was an interesting look at her career and it brought back memories of when I first saw these films. It contains exclusive photos provided by the Queen herself and that’s what made this book worth it.
This book is a nice history of the famous horror actress. The book combines the author's research, quotes and interviews from Pitt, and even her comments that she contributed to the book herself, along with many personal photos. I did not know much about her acting, besides some of her well known Hammer films,so overall this was a nice introduction to her work .
