This collection of cycling stories is not a book to be read all in one go. I got the ebook from the library and, reading a chapter or two at a time, only finished it the day before the loan expired. But that does not mean I was struggling. The stories were well written and struck a good balance between not shying away from awkward issues like doping but still clearly focussing on the cycling. Likewise, there is a degree of hero worship, but not too extreme. In summary, I enjoyed the book, but it did suffer from being a bit repetitive in the format of the chapters which were sometimes just too much like each other, with similar questions being put to cyclists with a similar life story.
