This guide was simple to read, had good information, and was well illustrated; a good basic/beginners book. However, there were only three plants illustrated that applied to my lawn and garden. So, yes, good basic book about pruning, but I'll have to find another book or online resource for pruning some of my other plants, shrubs, and trees.

I'm a complete pruning novice, so I really appreciated the information this book provided. It is also a short, full- color, easy-to-read book. I learned about the reasons for pruning, different types of pruning, how to prune specific types of plants, and pruning according to the seasons.

While it is not a comprehensive guide, it is a great reference I've already consulted several times for my home landscaping.
