Good summary of important US tax policy, but in 2025 the book shows its age, usually citing data from 2000-2005 and presenting the internet as a new and intimidating concept. I think this book is a great jumping off point for understanding the ins and outs of business taxation, but I’m definitely supplementing with updated information on the internet. Still worth the read!
Excellent book! Eva Rosenberg explains how to start your small business, and all the tax ramifications associated with that. She also explains the value of having good advisers who help you succeed. She discusses the pitfalls, like not getting the local licenses you need, and she discussess the pros and cons of organizing as a C-Corp, LLC, sole-proprietor, and when you should take an S-Corp election. Best part - it's in English that the average person can understand. I recommend this book to all my clients who are, or who want to be, business owners.
This is a great read for small businesses, a must-buy book. I will see if they have a later edition of it. Very resourceful and helpful for someone thinking about starting her own companies now and near future.
