Lesslie Newbigin: Missionary Theologian: A Reader

Rate this book
Bishop Lesslie Newbigin was one of the twentieth century's most influential thinkers and speakers. A founding bishop of the Church of South India and associate general secretary of the World Council of Churches, his highly regarded books include Foolishness to the Greeks, The Gospel in a Pluralist Society, Truth to Tell, Proper Confidence and The Open Secret. This reader concentrates for the most part on his later writings, demonstrating his missionary engagement with Western culture following his return to the UK in 1974, but some of his earlier work is included in order to show how certain themes retained their significance in his thought.
