How often have you been told:
"Jesus was not involved in Politics," "Jesus was a Socialist", "Politics is dirty"
"Talking politics in Church will turn people away"

Wish you had a Biblical and logical way to show your pastor and friends that these are all false!

Discouraged by how the Church shies away from politics?
Fearful for your children's religious freedoms?
Wish you could convince Christians that we need to be involved politically in order to obey Christ?

Learn why avoiding politics is unloving, and in direct contradiction to what Christcommanded. Learn why not being involved in politics violates the second greatest commandment. Find out why anyone who says we should not be involved in Politics is saying slavery, child labor, racism and a host of other evils should still be legal.
Demolish the ridiculous concept that Christian involvement in politics has never worked.

This book is your manual to prove that if churches were involved, if pastors were training their congregations in the core principles of the law and social justice; within just a few years, poverty would diminish, welfare would be handled by churches, crime would be reduced and families would start to mend.

Else the nation will continue its downward spiral and the innocent and poor will suffer and Christians will begin to be persecuted.
Seem alarmist? The facts show otherwise. Time is short.

Used correctly these arguments can change pastor's minds and can awaken the sleeping giant of the American Church.

Great information, but the presentation was too informal for my taste.

The self-published book could have been designed better with larger print and an index. I didn't care for the chapter heading format, either.

Mammen's warnings from the 2000 aughts speak louder now as culture has further digressed into depravity. He addresses the "same-sex" marriage debate, which came to a head with the 2015 Supreme Court decision. Now that Pandora's box released the gender confusion cult because the church has failed as the conscience of the culture.

It has a good message, but other books have a better presentation.

Why aren't you trusting God?

It sounded convincing at first but then I realized almost all of what the author thinks can be stopped or changed just by voting isn't able to be controlled by human efforts. Hence the need for the Tribulation etc. Voting system is corrupt just like anything else and God appoints k the kings anyway not voting that is stated very clearly in the Bible.....so this guy sounds just like another agenda pushing republican. My trust remains in God and I vote Jesus 2020 and beyond knowing he is the ONLY WAY.

I read the edition that was edited and abridged for the American Family Association in 2011, marked Edition 12.

As a conservative Christian and a Constitutional strict constructionist, as someone who is involved with Hillsdale College's Constitution courses, I am interested in the subject matter of this book.

Mammen has a sharp mind. He is quick to discern fallacies in those who would argue with him. He is well reasoned. It is going to take further study on my part to learn to use this material.

The trouble is not the content. The trouble is the presentation. Look at the editor's blurb for this book. It is nearly unreadable. Add to that loads of footnotes in tiny type, with some occasionally poor editing. Come on, now. By Edition 12, all of those editing mistakes should have come out. There is simply no excuse.

No, to make the book readable would probably make it thicker. It might chip a little off Mr. Mammen's delightful personality, though the most talented editors could avoid even that. I suspect the effort would be worth it and Edition 13 would outsell all previous editions combined. It's worth a try.

Meanwhile, if you have the patience, the content is worth your time. If not, try the web site: NoBlindFaith.com

“We used this book as a text for a Bible Study every 2nd and 4th Thursday at the Tacoma 912 Project meet up group. It is a most excellent help in dealing with the inactivity of professed Christians when it comes to politics. I found it to be very helpful and timely in this critical election year. We are going to take a break for perhaps the rest of the year due to all the things going on with the 2012 elections and hope to start up again after the first of the year. ”
