A delightful collection of the authors' photographs and associated tales of bird watching spanning decades of just sitting and waiting for the perfect moment and the perfect shot. Hosking and Newberry portray their love of British avifauna beautifully through their photos and their words, bringing the reader to the nest side seeing the action as it happens. A superb additional to any natural history library (now must get the forerunner books of Birds of the Day and Birds of the Night, let the search begin).
