The author does a good job of presenting the research to back up this material. This structure of questioning will work with all grade levels. It takes a little time planning how to implement the deeper levels of questions, but it does work. Good material update from the original research that was done.

This was an OK book and something that I think people who are new to the idea of QAR will find helpful. I think I would have liked this better if it wasn't my 8th book about this strategy.

I liked that the authors included examples of how to teach QAR and how to integrate into everyday reading. I would like to see how it would work as a stepping stone for writing.
