I've read several of the guides in this series and while the rating system is decent, the wordiness of it all doesn't help. Drop the banter, add some maps, I say. But the book does cover a larger area than Day Hike! North Cascades by Mike McQuaide and of course has the multi-day trip section. So overall, more hieks included, but no maps.

We've been using this book for years to plan our hikes and it's wonderful. We just hiked the Heather Meadows Trail, one of their premier hikes, and I especially appreciated the advice to keep an eye out for bog orchids, for example. I would have missed this tiny delight without the heads-up. Just saying: this is a book you want if you're hiking the North Cascades.

greatest hiking guide for Washington of all time ever. Fool.

I pretty much disagree with all of the ratings in this book.
